Testimonials
Jun Shimizu, Film Director
"Working with Antonio was a true pleasure. Our collaboration on "Spooky Stories" required a great deal of experimentation to find the right tones, and I was impressed by his consummate professionalism throughout the process. He was able to pivot and adjust to feedback on a moment's notice and still bring fresh ideas and sounds to the table - 10/10 would work with again!"
Peter Groynom, Film Director
"Antonio is a gifted, hard-working composer who was wonderful to work with. Our film, Lavomatique, needed a very specific genre of vintage pop song. After emailing back and forth a few times, and discussing various points of reference, Antonio created a song that was perfect. He also introduced me to a few musicians from the 1970s that I had never heard of, which is one of those joys that comes from creative collaboration. I look forward to the chance to work with Antonio again.”
Nicolas Bermudez, Film Director
"Antonio is a great partner to work with. Apart from his creativity and talent, he knows how to listen and develop ideas in order to achieve the director’s vision. He has always exceeded my expectations and the love the puts in each of his projects can be seen from miles away."
Alan Stevenson, Film Director
"Antonio David carries with him a strong artistic sensibility; he is capable of intuiting from the image what a scene sounds like. My working relationship with him has always been characterized by clear and concise communication, he asks the right questions about what is needed for each project and is very open for new or extravagant ideas. Inside his head there is a curation machine that works like a network of references. Said network proposes mixtures of several music pieces and other sounds to achieve the best possible connection between image and sound, reaching high emotional points during the scenes."

"I met Antonio as one of the composers for my Bollywood documentary and my expectations were very high. Music is a huge part of the magic of Bollywood, and I wanted it to play as important a role in telling the story of my film as the characters do. It’s a pretty tough ask, plus I wanted the music to echo Bollywood, which can be a complicated note since modern Bollywood music is such a pastiche of everything. Antonio wasn’t very familiar with Bollywood music going in, but after hearing what he produced, you wouldn’t be able to tell that this was new territory for him. You’d think hours of research went into his compositions, and I’m sure they did, but I think the biggest thing he could do for my film was to be a good listener. He really listened to my (no doubt endless) talking, and I think he had great empathy for my characters. He was really able to feel them and my intentions with their story, and then have the music speak the same language. The final music went beyond my wildest expectations, and I would not have the film I have today without this music. It is a very big reason that I am so proud of my debut film. I was stressed about working with such talented musicians as a first-time filmmaker, but Antonio and the rest of the team made it as simple as just talking to friends. I’m grateful for them for being such wonderful co-workers and giving me an experience I will always cherish."
